Our first Annual Meeting will take place on June 29th, 10.30AM in Lisbon on the margin of the UN Ocean Conference! Venue is located in central Lisbon at Forum Picoas. We are calling on our membership to join in person or virtually to this important milestone on the journey of our organization, as we will look together to our achievements and to the future of the Coalition. As it will be the opportunity to listen to your needs and suggestions, all Safe Seaweed Coalition members are invited to participate to this survey that will feed into the meeting. After lunch, we will continue with a Seaweed Day open to everyone with pitch sessions and panel discussions with our global multistakeholder membership. It will highlight seaweed’s myriad contributions to helping resolve the pressing problems facing people and the planet today. There will be sessions on seaweed and food and nutrition security, seaweed and the environment, seaweed and sustainability more generally, local perspectives, and much more! The conversations will begin at 1:30 and continue through the afternoon to a high-level closing that will set the stage for our official side event (Seaweed: A Revolution to Achieve Goal 14 and More, 11:30am-12:45pm June 30 in the Committee Room inside the conference venue, in case you are accredited to enter, a link will be provided for virtual attendance).
